The Wolf Canyon community took time on Friday, December 4 to think about how we can bring PEACE to our community during our Peace Assembly.

Friday, December 4 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm PTA Bingo Night is back. Tickets are $20 during pre-sales and $25 at the door. Extra games for the kids are $1 each. Students 2-6 grade will have their own game (for the $1 game cards). Childcare will be available for children ages 3-6. PTA will be giving away prizes instead of money. Fifth grade will be selling food for dinner.

Last Call for the Mixed Bag fundraising orders and money. Please bring in any remaining orders and money to the front office. All orders must be submitted by Monday afternoon so that ALL orders make it in time for the holidays. You can also place your order online using school code: 357319

Wednesday, November 18 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm have dinner at Which Wich in Eastlake and Wolf Canyon will receive 25% of the proceeds.

Friday, November 20 Student Council has designated as “Nerd/Geek” day.

Please complete and return the Federal Survey forms.  This is one way our school receives federal funds. Please complete and turn in the forms no later than Friday, November 20.  The first 2 classes that turn in all their completed federal survey forms will receive “no homework” pass good on one assignment.

Monday, November 9 Identikid envelopes will be sent home. If you want to participate in this program please follow the instructions on the envelope. Pictures for Identikid will be taken on Friday, November 13.

Our school fundraiser starts this week.  Every child received a fundraiser packet. Our fundraiser ID is 357319.   Make checks payable to Wolf Canyon PTA.  Turn in money with a copy of the order form to your child’s teacher by November 13.  Orders can also be placed online at http://www.mixedbagdesigns.com/?fundraiserid=357319.  Please support our school!  Please DO NOT send cash in your child’s backpack.  Make sure you or your child hand delivers cash to the teacher or the school office.

Friday, November 6 is Military Pride Day – Invite your family member, who serves in the military, to have lunch with you during your lunchtime here at school.

Wolf Canyon needs subs for Noon Duty! Take the Noon Duty Supervisor test at CVESD main office, 84 East “J” Street, Chula Vista, 91911, on Mon., Nov. 20 at 10:15 am. You will need a picture ID. Please call 619-425-9600 for more information.

Starting immediately Wolf Canyon office personnel will no longer be responsible for delivering lunches, homework, or other items to students during the school day. If you need to deliver something to your child during the school day, you or your designee will need to sign in as a visitor in the school office and take these items to your child during his/her recess or lunchtime only.  Also, please make sure to coordinate how your child gets home after school prior to arriving to school.  For everyone’s safety, the office will not be responsible for sending messages to students about after school pick up arrangements. If you have any questions please contact Ms. McLaren the school principal.

Tuesday, October 27 at 9:00 am ELAC will meet in the YMCA room.

Friday, October 30 Boo Grams will be delivered to students at their classrooms. Boo grams will be sold before and after school for $2 or $5.

Saturday, October 24 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Come celebrate in costume at our annual Masquerade Festival. If you are a PTA member, the cost per person is $1.00.

Monday, October 12 school is in session and it is Picture Make-up Day.

Monday, October 12 School Site Council Meets.  CAASPP (the new state test) data will be shared.  The SSC meeting is open to everyone.

Tuesday, October 13 is the PTA Reflections Reception at 6:00 pm for all students who submitted an entry.  The PTA general meeting will follow this event. Reflections Reception is at 6:00 pm on October 20. PTA General meetings will follow this event.

A permission slip will be sent home this week to all students in the Military Ambassadors Club (MAC), K-Kids, Student Council, Safety Patrol, Peace Patrol, and Glee, to participate in the Veteran’s Day parade at Veterans Elementary on Friday, Nov. 6th.  Students in these organizations with a parent in the military are invited to march in the parade with their parent in uniform. Veterans Parade Flyer 2015

We now have an Art Teacher – Joanne Adamos. She is in need of the following items: large white paper (not styrofoam) plate, newspapers, kid magazines and unscented baby wipes. We appreciate any donations.
