Wolf Canyon Students competing at CVESD Speech Contest THIS Week!

Wolf Canyon is wishing the best to our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students who will represent their grade level and Wolf Canyon this week at the 2025 CVESD Speech Contest. Students will share powerful and creative speeches as part of the 2025 CVESD Contest prompt of, “Writing a letter to my future self“.

LEAD Talent Show Rescheduled

LEAD Families! Attention!

An email through Jumbula is being sent to all registered LEAD families with important updates. We will be postponing our LEAD Family Night and will now be hosting it on Friday, February 28th.

If your child(ren) attend LEAD HUB or Club and would like to perform in the Talent Show, please email anai.garcia@cvesd.org to receive the link to sign up.

Rainy Day Pick-Up Procedures by Grade


Hello Wolf Canyon Families,

Please see updated pick-up procedures for rainy days. Today will be our first rainy day pick up! You can expect higher than usual traffic. We appreciate your patience and let’s keep student safety the #1 priority!


Grade(s)
 Pick-Up Procedures:
TKPlan A: Pick up in classroom by 2:55p. Enter through Kinder Gate. Kinder Gate will be opened at 2:50p. Please wait outside of the classroom door until the teacher dismisses students. Families picking up students in other grade levels will need to exit through kinder gates and enter through main gates beginning at 3:10p. Plan B: Students not picked up by 3:10p from the classroom will be walked to the main office.
KPlan A: Pick up in classroom by 3:00p. Enter through Kinder Gate. Kinder Gate will be opened at 2:50p. Please wait outside of the classroom door until the teacher dismisses students. Families picking up students in other grade levels will need to exit through kinder gates and enter through main gates beginning at 3:10p. Plan B: Students not picked up by 3:15p from the classroom will be walked to the main office.

2025/26 NEW Student Registration Begins Tomorrow Feb. 12th! Online Only!

NEW STUDENT registration will begin tomorrow, February 12th online only for the following:

  • Kindergartners who will be 5 years old on or before September 2, 2025
  • TK students whose birthdate falls within the following dates September 2, 2020 – September 1, 2021
  • NEW students in grades 1st through 6th 

All registrations will take place online. There will be no paper packets. To register please visit our district website beginning Feb. 12thwww.cvesd.org Please make sure you are registering on the link that says 2025/26.

THIS IS FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY. If you are a current student, please do not submit a new student registration. Current and continuing students will update their information later in the school year. More information will be forthcoming

Please note that Wolf Canyon is an impacted school and there is a possibility that we may not have space to accommodate all students. Please review the updated information below:

[Wolf Canyon Elementary faces increased enrollment demands for the 2025-2026 school year. To address this, CVESD will initiate a Random Enrollment Process (Lottery) for new student registrations seeking available spaces from February 12, 2025, until 4:00pm on April 30, 2025

Registrations received after April 30, 2025, and those not selected through the lottery will be placed at schools outside the designated attendance area.

We are excited to introduce a brand-new club that’s going to take our students on an amazing journey into the world of computer science—Skill Struck! This incredible opportunity will be offered by LEAD, and it’s designed to challenge and inspire students while they learn the fundamentals of coding in a fun and engaging way.

Students will dive into interactive challenges and puzzles, use a code editor to solve real-world problems, collaborate on group projects, and so much more. It’s a fantastic way for students to explore the world of computer science!
