TK & Kindergarten Orientation- July 22 @ 4p-5p

Hello Wolf Canyon TK and Kindergarten Families,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are all looking forward to meeting and welcoming all our incoming TK and Kindergarten students and families on the first day of school next week on Wednesday, July 24.

In preparation, Wolf Canyon will be hosting Orientation Sessions for TK and Kindergarten families on Monday, July 22 from 4:00pm-5:00pm.  Teachers and administration will share important information with families. We highly encourage all of our TK and Kindergarten families to attend!

TK Orientation:

  • TK families will first meet in the Multipurpose Room (MPR) from 4:00pm to 4:30pm, and then walk over to TK classrooms from 4:30pm-5:00pm. 

Kindergarten Orientation:

  • Kindergarten families will first meet in their child’s Kindergarten classroom 4:00pm to 4:30pm, and then walk over to Multipurpose Room (MPR) from 4:30pm-5:00pm.
  • Kindergarten families may enter through the kindergarten exterior gates located on the front and north end of campus near the kindergarten classrooms. 
  • Kindergarten rosters with room numbers will be posted on the kindergarten gates near the entrance if you do not plan to attend the Meet the Teacher event happening prior to the orientation.

Meet the Teacher – July 22nd!

The Wolf Canyon “Meet the Teacher” will be held on Monday, July 22 from 2:30pm until 3:30pm. Teachers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. If you are not able to make it, class lists will be posted in the display case outside of the school office after the event. See you Monday, July 22!

**Please note that the first day of school for the 2024/25 school year is July 24th and it is an early dismissal day.**

Wrapping up LEAD!

Hi Timberwolves,

As the school year comes to a close, we at LEAD want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making this year truly special! The dedication, enthusiasm, and support shown by our students and families have been nothing short of inspiring, and we are immensely proud of all that we have achieved together!

We would like to remind everyone that yesterday marked our last day of our LEAD program for this school year! We will NOT be meeting for the remainder of the academic year. Registration for the upcoming year will open on July 19th, so be sure to keep an eye out for the application details.

EOY Excellence at Wolf Canyon!

Though last week was a 4-day school week, there were a lot of exciting things happening at Wolf Canyon! 2024/25 Continuing Student Enrollment Information

Continuing Student Enrollment for the 2024/25 school year for current students at Wolf Canyon will take place online this year beginning May 28th.  All students returning to any school in the Chula Vista Elementary School District for the 2024/25 school year are required to complete updated enrollment with their school of attendance before the start of school in order for their child’s name to be placed on a class list. 

You will be receiving an email that will contain a unique “Snap Code” for each of your children enrolled at Wolf Canyon and a link to the website where you will be able to update information for your child for the 2024/25 school year.

We will begin sending the “Snap Codes” on May 28th. Please make sure to check your emails so that you may complete this promptly. If you have not received your email by June 7th, please contact the school office.

Residency Verification will not be required for families completing the Continuing Student Enrollment, unless you have moved.

Community Messenger: Week of May 27-31, 2024

We are now in week 9 of 10 of Q4!  Let’s finish strong and model Timberwolf excellence through outstanding character and excellence through the finish line!

At the end of each quarter and school year, there are many exciting events on campus. Please plant accordingly for traffic and remember that safety is everyone’s #1 priority. During drop-off and pick-up, please support keep our students, families, and staff safe by:

  • Please pick up and drop off your children only in the loading zone (not in the red zone).  
  • Drive slowly and watch for pedestrians. Do not speed.
  • Use crosswalks. Do not cross through the vehicle drop-off and pick up zone. 
  • Stop for pedestrians.
  • Park only in designated areas. Do not park in red zones or yellow zones or leave vehicle unattended in parking area or loading zone.
