Family -Teacher Conferences

Please note that family-teacher conferences begin this week on Thursday, March 7. If you haven’t signed up to meet your child’s teacher, please do so asap! Family-teacher conferences are a great time to connect with your child’s teacher to learn how your child is progressing in school. All school days on Thursday, March 7, through Friday, March 15, will be minimum days.

CVESD Teacher of the Year

We’d like to congratulate 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Katie Lafferty, for being selected as a top CVESD candidate to advance and represent CVESD at the county level for Teacher of the Year! Aaaaaahh-oo000OOOOO!!!

Safety Notice: Drop-Off and Dismissal

Student safety is everyone’s number one priority. During drop-off and pick-up, please support keep our students, families, and staff safe by:

  • Please pick up and drop off your children only in the loading zone (not in the red zone).  
  • Drive slowly and watch for pedestrians. Do not speed.
  • Use crosswalks. Do not cross from the parking area through the vehicle drop-off and pick up zone. 
  • Stop for pedestrians.
  • Park only in designated areas. Do not park in red zones or yellow zones. Do not double park or leave vehicle unattended in parking area or loading zone.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and partnership in ensuring a safe and orderly drop-off and dismissal.

LEAD – Disc Golf

Hi Timberwolves!

Check out this new activity that LEAD will be introducing, Monday, April 8th!

Students will meet every Monday and Wednesday, 3:30-4:30. Students are allowed to be in more than one activity as long as they don’t conflict one another. It is important students can attend both days! Space is limited!

Parent-Teacher Conferences Start March 7th! – Minimum Days!

Just a reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences begin, Thursday, March 7th and continue through Friday, March 15th.

All 1st-6th grade students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m. during the conference period. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. and Transitional Kindergarten students will dismiss at 1:25 p.m. and

Please make appropriate transportation and child care arrangements. We look forward to seeing you all at parent teacher conferences soon!

LEAD – Kinderland

Hi everyone!

Check out this new club Ms. Sturr will be introducing next quarter for children engagement and skill development! Students are allowed to be in more than one activity as long as they don’t conflict one another. Example: if your student attends Wednesday LEGO Club, they cannot enroll in Kinderland. Thank you!

The following LEAD activities will NOT be continuing next quarter:

  • Tuesday/Thursday Kinder Tutoring
  • Tuesday Morning Pokémon Player Club (Pending)

New Quarter 4 Activities:

  • Kinderland
  • Trivia Files

Our last day for quarter 3 will be March 6th, we will resume ALL activities on April 8th. If your student’s activity requires for re-enrollment, Site Lead will be reaching out!

**Once again! LEAD will NOT be meeting during minimum week!!**

A couple friendly reminders regarding the LEAD program:

  • Parents and guardians must submit an interest form at your school site to start the application process.
  • Please note that completing the interest form does not guarantee participation in the LEAD Program.
  • If your student is chosen to participate in a LEAD program, FORMS WILL BE SENT HOME TO FINALIZE THEIR ENROLLEMNT.
  • Please remember we have a set ratio due to the ELOP grant, the grantee must ensure that the program maintains a student-to-staff ratio of twenty students to one adult (20:1) 1st-6th graders and 10:1 for TK and Kinder students.
