Hello Wolf Canyon Families, 

Next week is Staff Appreciation/Spirit Week! To celebrate, we have chosen specific theme days for the week of 5/6-5/10. 

We would love to see everyone participate. 

We also had our staff fill out a Favorites Survey. Feel free to look at it by clicking on the following link (if you are interested in surprising staff throughout the week).  In addition to our awesome teachers, we have a lot of amazing support staff, Instructional aides, cafeteria workers, janitors and so many more people who help support your kids and the school.  If you would like to drop off a surprise to someone other than your child’s teacher to show your appreciation, please put the staff member’s name and leave it in the front office.

Continuing Student Enrollment for the 2024/25 school year for current students at Wolf Canyon will take place online this year beginning May 28th.  All students returning to any school in the Chula Vista Elementary School District for the 2024/25 school year are required to complete updated enrollment with their school of attendance before the start of school in order for their child’s name to be placed on a class list. 

You will be receiving an email that will contain a unique “Snap Code” for each of your children enrolled at Wolf Canyon and a link to the website where you will be able to update information for your child for the 2024/25 school year.

We will begin sending the “Snap Codes” on May 28th. Please make sure to check your emails so that you may complete this promptly. If you have not received your email by June 7th, please contact the school office.

Residency Verification will not be required for families completing the Continuing Student Enrollment, unless you have moved.

We are now in week 5 of 10 of quarter 4! We’re halfway through the academic quarter, but the fun is just beginning! Quarter 4 is always exciting and eventful w many end-of-year events and testing. Let’s show and model Timberwolf excellence each and every day!

Please note, our students are now engaged in end-of-year testing. Your child’s test dates by grade level for this coming week are listed below. It’s time for Timberwolves to shine in CVESD Local Measures (LM) and California SBAC testing in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.

Safety Notice: Drop-Off and Dismissal:

Student safety is everyone’s number one priority. During drop-off and pick-up, please support keep our students, families, and staff safe by:

• Please pick up and drop off your children only in the loading zone (not in the red zone).  
• Drive slowly and watch for pedestrians. Do not speed.
• Use crosswalks. Do not cross through the vehicle drop-off and pick up zone. 
• Stop for pedestrians.
• Park only in designated areas. Do not park in red zones or yellow zones or leave vehicle unattended in parking area or loading zone.

Join us for the LEAD Academy Summer Program from June 10th – June 28th!

Registrations opens TODAY, April 26th, at 6:00PM

The LEAD Academy Program is free to CVESD students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. Funded through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, LEAD Academy offers a wide variety of academic and fun enrichment activities, field trips, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks).

Calling all military parents!  Thursday, April 25, we are in need of some volunteers between the hours of 10:20 and 11:45.  Please click on the sign up link to learn more about how you can help. 

In addition, we would like to invite all military kids and their families to enjoy some coffee and doughnuts before school on Friday, April 26^th in the MPR from 8:00-8:40. Your child should have brought home an rsvp form. If they did not, and you are active military please download the flyer and turn it into your child’s teacher.
