Each year our sixth grade team puts together a Mock Newberry for our sixth grade students. The Newbery awards are an annual recognition for the most distinguished contribution to American Literature for children. This award is given to one author each year by the American Library Association. Our Mock Newbery gives our students a chance to read the books nominated and choose their own winner.
There are eight books our students will be reading and our sixth grade team will need 18 copies of each of these books. Your support will help to encourage our students to think deeply about literature, share their opinions and develop a lifelong love for reading.
If you would like to help purchase books for this sixth grade program, please click on the link below. All donations received will have the donor’s name added to the book. Your support of our students is appreciated!
