Our first PTA Family Dinner Night is coming up soon!  Plan for a delicious pizza night on Wednesday (8/18) and/or Thursday (8/19) when you pick up dinner at Blaze Pizza!
We are excited to be kicking off the year by supporting our amazing VAPA programs that have provided wonderful creative outlets for our Timberwolves through art & music.  
Bring your family, tell your friends, neighbors & co-workers, and let’s make a scene for the Arts!

Registration has been added to the PTA Meeting for the 2021/2022 school year. This will help the board to check quorum and make sign in part of entering the meeting. Minutes will be reviewed in the meeting from the last PTA meeting as stated in the agenda. If you should want a copy prior to the meeting please email wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com and the minutes can be sent to any current PTA member. The minutes will not be sent via Totem at this time. Dear Wolf Canyon Families,

It has been a joy meeting so many of our Wolf Canyon Timberwolves over the last week and a half!  We are off to a powerful start to the year and are excited about everything the remainder of the year holds for us.  We also want to thank you for your patience and flexibility as we have transitioned back to in-person.  With that, here are a few reminders we want to provide for everyone.  

Changes To The Morning Arrival Routine:

Again, thank you for your patience as we have worked through a few issues.  Beginning Monday, August 2nd, gates will be open at 8:40, and all of our families WILL be able to walk their students to their classroom doors.  The tardy bell will ring at 8:45 and our students, teachers, and staff will be eager to begin class immediately at that time.  For this reason, we ask that you make your way off campus immediately after dropping off.  Our school team will also continue to evaluate how the arrival process may be modified to return to the pre-pandemic process in which all gates opened at 8:00, students met on the blacktop, ran laps, and are then picked up by their teacher at 8:45.  Our hope is to return to this process as soon as possible and we will continue to update you. 

Arrival and Pick-Up Safety Reminders: 

Drop off and arrival can feel hectic.  There are nearly 1000 students that attend Wolf Canyon, and our parking lot infrastructure was not designed to support that number.  Because of this, it is even more important to remember the following guidelines.  

 DRIVE SLOWLY AND CAUTIOUSLY

 OBSERVE SIGNS AND CONES

 THANK YOU FOR NOT TEXTING OR TALKING ON CELL PHONES WHILE DRIVING

 REMEMBER TO USE THE CROSSWALKS AT ALL TIMES

 THANK YOU FOR NOT DOUBLE PARKING

 REMEMBER TO PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD IF YOU ARE IN THE DROP-OFF LANE

 THE PARKING LOT IS NOT A PICKUP AND DROP OFF AREA

 THANK YOU FOR NOT MOTIONING FOR YOUR CHILD TO WALK BETWEEN CARS OR DISREGARDING THE SAFETY PATROL OFFICERS

 THANK YOU FOR BEING RESPECTFUL AND POLITE

 BIKES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS, HOVERBOARDS, ETC. MUST REMAIN LOCKED ON THE BIKE RACK OR KEPT IN A SAFE PLACE IN THE CLASSROOM TO BE DETERMINED BY THE TEACHER. STUDENTS MUST WALK THESE ITEMS ON CAMPUS DURING ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL

The Chula Vista Elementary School District is excited to continue a comprehensive, Districtwide Solar Power project. Your child’s school site is among the next eight schools that are scheduled for solar panel installation. Kinder Families! Please note that the schedule for Kindergarten for July 21-30 is 8:45am to 1:30pm. General Ed. Kinders will return to their normal schedule the week of August 2nd.
