Registration packets for the 2020/21 School Year are available now in the school office for NEW students in grades 1st through 6th, Kindergartners who will be 5-years-old on or before September 1st and new TK students who turn 5-years-old between September 2 and December 2. Registration for the new school year will begin on February 19th in our school auditorium!

CHULA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT SUMMARY OF WELLNESS POLICY (BP 5030)

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) recognizes the link between student health and learning and is committed to providing a healthy school environment that promotes student and staff wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education, and regular physical activity. The CVESD Wellness Policy (BP 5030) was revised August 9, 2017. It updates and reflects changes to all federal, state, local, and District guidelines. Additionally, the policy was re-organized and headings added for clarity and organizational purposes.

Summary of Key Wellness Policy Guidelines- School and District Community:

 Prohibiting food items in celebration of a student’s birthday on the school site during the school day.

 Permitting no more than two parties/celebrations with food for each class, per school year, to be scheduled after lunch whenever possible. All food items should be store-bought, pre-packaged, and/or pre-wrapped for food safety and allergies.

  Classroom Contest! McDonald’s will be donating Happy Meal cards to the two classrooms (PreK – 3) and (4-6) that have the highest percentage of students from their class participating in McTeacher Night. If you have multiple classrooms, please copy your receipt.

Happy New Year! We would like to welcome everyone back to school for the Winter Quarter!

Remember, school begins on Tuesday, January 14 and it is a minimum day. School begins promptly at 8:45 am for all students.  Please make it a goal to be at school and on time daily! We are a late start school so this should be an attainable goal for all! 1st-6th students are dismissed at 1:45 p.m. and our Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:30 p.m on Tuesday. We are so excited to see you all at school tomorrow!

We had a very high demand for both Snowman Grams and the Holiday Shop.  Unfortunately, they have both SOLD OUT.  The PTA will not be selling Snowman Grams and the Holiday Shop is officially closed.

Good Afternoon Families,

Please have your child/children stop by the Lost and Found this week to claim any missing belongings.  At the end of each quarter, we gather all of the items in the Lost and Found and donate them to families in need.  On Friday, we will spread out all of the remaining items in our front quad as a last opportunity for students to claim missing items.
