Just a reminder that our Parent Academy Night has moved to Wednesday, August 7th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for a wonderful first week of the school year!  It was such a pleasure to welcome all our Timberwolves Back to School!  We are grateful for our teachers and staff for all the effort they put into preparing for an amazing school year.

All of us at Wolf Canyon want to thank our families and community members for their patience and understanding as we try to accommodate the many vehicles that arrive each morning and afternoon.  We strongly recommend that families use the drop off and pick up area in the front of the school. Please remember to always pull forward and never park in the pick-up and drop-off areas. Also never stop in the red zone. Please do not use the bus loop for parking, pick up, or drop off, it is for school busses only!

We also encourage families to walk, scooter, bike or carpool to school. As a school of over 850 students, it helps if we can reduce the number of cars driving to campus daily.

Please do not use the handicap area to drop off your child.  This is extremely dangerous.

Finally, we would especially encourage the parents of our 2nd-6th grade students to use the drop off and pick up areas and allow the parents of our younger students to park.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

We are so excited for our  first day of school on Monday, July 22.  School begins promptly at 8:45 am  Please remember that it is a minimum day with all 1st-6th students dismissed at 1:45 p.m. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at the conclusion of Kindergarten Orientation.

We encourage you to walk, ride a scooter, bike, or carpool to school.  As you know, we are a growing school and we usually have increased traffic the first few days of school.  Please allow plenty of time for pick up and drop off.

Other Important Dates

Welcome back to a new school year, Wolf Canyon Families! We wanted to share a few reminders with you before we start:

– Meet the Teacher is tonight at Wolf Canyon from 6:00pm – 7:00pm! Come out and meet your child’s teacher. Rosters will be posted in our playground area.

– The first day of school is this Monday, July 22nd and it is a minimum day. Students will dismiss at 1:45pm.

– Kinder Orientation will take place in the auditorium from 9:00am – 11:00am on July 22nd.

June 5th, is the last day of school! Kinders will dismiss at 1:30pm and grades 1-6 will dismiss at 1:45pm.

Please remember to return any library books that were borrowed and collect any medication you may have in our health office. Our school office will remain open through June 14th only.

Thank you to all the students who participated in the Otay Water District “Water is Life” Art Contest. The results are in and Wolf Canyon represented strong!

Our Volunteer Reception takes place this evening, June 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. in our school auditorium. If you have volunteered on our campus during the 2018-19 school year you are invited to join us!

Congratulations and thank you to all who joined our Birthday Book Club during the 2018-19 school year. We had 222 members and raised over $2,700 for new library books! Donations like this helps the success of our students and ultimately our community.  A special thank you goes out to Anahi Sedano, who joined the club three times and added six new books to our library.
