WELCOME BACK!

We all want to welcome back our students and families to the 2019 Fall Quarter.  The Fall Quarter is always very busy with many activities, so we encourage all our families and students to check our blog frequently.

School begins on Tuesday, October 8.  Please remember that it will be a full day of learning for all students. 1st – 6th grade students begin promptly at 8:45am and will be dismissed at 3:15pm.  All kindergarten students will attend from 8:45am to 3:00pm.  We look forward to seeing all our Timberwolves on Tuesday!

5TH ANNUAL PARENT ACADEMY

Have you registered for the Parent Academy yet?  Please register today! Learn about tools, strategies, and resources to support your child’s success in school. Breakfast will be provided for all. Childcare will be provided on a first come, first served basis, so please register early. Our district’s Parent Academy is coming on Saturday, October 19 at Vista Square Elementary from 7:30-12:30. Good News Club is coming to Wolf Canyon on Wednesdays, beginning October 16th from 3:30 – 4:30 in Room 603.  Students in grades 1-6 are welcome to come and hear life-changing Bible stories, play games, and sing lively songs.  There is no cost.  Permission slips are available in the office or from Mrs. Jackson in Room 603. If you have any questions, call Mrs. Jackson at 619-849-9900.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent Teacher Conferences will continue through Friday, September 20, 2019.  Remember, all 1st-6th grade students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m during the conference period. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.. Please make appropriate transportation and child care arrangements.  We look forward to seeing you all at parent teacher conferences soon.

Fall Break

Our fall break will continue through Monday, October 7th.  School will resume on Tuesday, October 8th with a full day of instruction.

FUNraiser

On Thursday, September 19^th we encourage students to wear their favorite jersey to school. We also encourage families to east at Jersey Mike’s on the 19^th between 10am and 9pm.  20% of the proceeds will be donated to our school.  Please be sure to bring the orange flyer that was sent home with your child or show the flyer from the blog.

Today we kicked off our APEX FUN RUN Fundraiser.  Please consider helping the school raise money in a fun/healthy way to support field-trips and technology upgrades.

Does your student have a July-October birthday? Don’t forget to join our Wolf Canyon Birthday Book Club & be celebrated at our end-of-quarter assembly!  Deadline to return forms/money & choose a new book from the library is Friday, 9/6.
