Please take a moment to view the video we put together to help honor our Military Families for Month of the Military Child.
Good Morning, Wolf Canyon Families, we are sharing a letter our neighbor Olympian High School sent out to the community. Please be aware that they will be conducting a drill near their campus tomorrow, April 24th. Please read their letter for more information.
April is Month of the Military Child. This is a time to recognize Military Families and their children for the sacrifices they make, the resilience they display and the challenges they overcome. Currently, Wolf Canyon has 206 Military Students. We will be celebrating Month of the Military Child with the following Spirit Days and Activities:
On Friday, we will also be recognizing 36 students who reclassified from an dEnglish Language Learner to Fluent English Proficient. This is a huge accomplishment and students are excited to celebrate… just see below:-)

Please review the following messages from both EastLake Middle and Rancho Del Rey Middle School.
Rancho del Rey Middle would like to invite incoming 7th grade students who are interested in taking the Compacted Integrated Math 7 course (an accelerated Math course) to take our Math placement test. Exceptionally strong Math performance in sixth grade may indicate that your student is ready to enroll in the Compacted Math course. The Compacted Math course covers Integrated Math 7, Math 8, and Integrated Course I. This program is designed for students that thrive in a challenging, demanding and fast paced academic environment.
If you would like your student to enroll in the Compacted Math course in seventh grade, he or she must complete and earn a passing score on the Math Placement Assessment. Please know that your child is not required to take the test or to enroll in Compacted Integrated Math 7, but if you would like to pursue this option, please follow the link to sign your child up for the placement assessment online. STUDENTS MUST SIGN UP FOR THE ASSESSMENT IN ADVANCE. You may also sign up on Rancho del Rey Middle School’s website. http://rdm.sweetwaterschools.org/
EastLake Middle School
Math Placement for Compacted Math (accelerated math course to prepare student to take IM 1 in their 8th grade year) will take place at the ELM Pavilion at 3:30 on April 15, 16 and 24. The test is supposed to take one hour depending on the student. The testing period will end at 5:00 to accommodate for set-up and check-in. All students (even if they are in DLI) should be encouraged to take the test for equity purposes. Students should bring a #2 pencil. The test will cover material from 6th grade. We will be using test results (85 % and above) and teacher recommendations in regards to placement into the Compacted Math Sequence. Parents will be notified of results and placement suggestions. If there are any questions/concerns, please email Dalila Espinosa at dalilia.espinosa@sweetwaterschools.org.
Registration will be an ongoing process throughout April. In order to better serve our community, we are allowing for walk-in registrations. These walk-in times will take place from 9-12 Monday through Thursday and 1-3 on Fridays. We will also have two night registrations on April 16th and 17th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. We do require parents/guardians to book a time for the night events to avoid long lines. To expedite the process, parents must come prepared with the required materials which can be found on our website (elm.sweetwaterschools.org under the parent tab) for either walk-in or night events. The sign-up tab will be up shortly, so please check frequently for updates. We look forward to serving you and making the registration process more convenient for our parents. Please email Karina Campos with any questions/concerns at karina.campose@sweetwaterschools.org.
Also, we will have a Coffee with the Principal Meeting on April 16th at 8:30 AM in the library if parents want to do a meet and greet. On the same night, we will have a PTSO meeting at 6:00 PM in the library and we invite future Triton parents to join us this evening to explore volunteer and community leadership opportunities. Our parents are our partners in this process!
