Just a reminder that there is No School on Monday, May 27 in honor of Memorial Day.

The Chalkwalk is fast approaching. We need many volunteers to help with this fun filled day of art on May 30 – all day!

Wolf Canyon will celebrate and show our appreciation to all staff May 28 – May 31. We will celebrate the Day of the Teacher on Wednesday, May 29. Please remember to take the time to say, “thank you” to bus drivers, cafeteria workers, office personnel and custodians.

Calling all volunteers! If you have served as a volunteer in anyway for our school please join us on June 4 at 6:00 pm for our annual Volunteer Recognition Dessert in the school auditorium. We are thankful for everyone who has contributed to making Wolf Canyon School the best it can be!

Mark your calendar for our annual school wide picnic and yearbook signing party on Thursday, June 6. Join us for lunch during your child’s lunch hour, bring your lawn chair or blankets and enjoy our school wide picnic. The lunch schedule is as follows: Kinder 10:30 am – 11:30 am, 1st grade 11:15 am, 2nd grade 11:30 am, 3rd grade 11:45 am, 4th grade 12:00 pm, 5th grade 12:15 pm and 6th grade 12:30 pm. The Staff against the 6th grade softball game will begin around 1:30 pm on the field and everyone is welcome.

This is the last week we will be collecting travel size soaps, shampoos, deodorants, mouthwash and toothpaste for the Stand Up for Kids, a program for homeless teens. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

Residency verification will begin on June 3rd through June 7th between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:30 am and again from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. We will be offering extended hours on June 4th and June 6th only from 7:00 am – 9:30 am and again from 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Bills must have a due date of May 24th or later. Bills due in June will be perfect. All students returning to a Chula Vista Elementary school must prove residency or they will not be placed on a class list.

Please make sure to turn in all library books and take care of any outstanding cafeteria bills before the end of the year.

The last day of school is Monday, May 10 and is a Minimum Day.

The first day of school for the 2013 – 2014 school year is July 24 and is a Minimum Day. All Kindergarten students and their parents will meet on July 24 in the school auditorium for an orientation from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. (Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:00 am on this day)
