Calling all parents! Wolf Canyon is need of parents who are willing to help with drop off and pick up before and after school. If you are interested in helping to keep our children and community safe contact Cassie Patterson at cassiepatterson@me.com. There will be a training regarding this on Thursday right after school at 3:30 pm in the school library.

We have a new Visitor Management System that screens out unwanted visitors from our campus and allows us to manage our volunteers and visitors. Parents and visitors will be asked to present a valid driver’s license or identification card which will be scanned into the system. This only needs to be done the first time to record you into the system. Once you are in the system all visitors and volunteers will use the Quick Check kiosk to sign in and print a badge. Just a reminder that there is No School next Monday, September 2 in honor of Labor Day.

On Wednesday, September 4 we will have a GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) parent information meeting from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Come out and learn how students qualify for GATE, what day to day learning activities are in place and what extra curricular opportunities will be available.

Mark you calendars! Our annual Family Movie Night is Friday, September 13 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on the school blacktop behind the school. This is an evening where students can be creative, design their own vehicle out of cardboard boxes or other materials and watch an old-fashioned drive-in movie under the stars. There will be plenty of refreshments and fun for all.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place beginning September 12 through the 19. Take a moment to write down questions you have for your child’s teacher and bring those questions to your conference.

4. Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Enrique S. Camarena Elementary School: Tools and Resources for Parents
