February 20 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Dances with Wolves in the school auditorium. Admission is $5.00 at the door – no presales. Additional items and food will be on sale at the dance so bring some extra spending money.

Tuesday, February 24 is Family Dinner Night at Jersey Mikes. The money raised from this Spirit Night will go to support the Music Program.

Registration for the 2015-2016 school year will begin on March 11 starting at 7:00 am. for Kinders who will turn 5 years old on or before September 1 and for new registrations in all other grades. Registration packets will be available in the school office beginning February 18. SEE WHAT WE ARE DOING! Walk-through our campus to get an inside look at our work on Common Core State Standards in English Language Art. Our goal district wide is by 2017 to have all students reading at grade level by grade 3! The walk-throughs are Friday, February 27 and Friday, March 6 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. There will be an in-service in the school library at 8:00 pm prior to the walk-throughs.

Tuesday, March 3 at 3:30 pm ELAC will meet and eat to discuss the Local Control Accountability Plan LCAP. The LCAP is available in Spanish. Bring a dish to share!

COMING SOON – MILITARY FAMILY PLAY GROUPS (THE CUB CLUB). Beginning April 8 connect with other military families and their non school age children for a play date every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the YMCA room. There is no cost and this is purely social.

WANTED: “Little Tikes” like playground sets such as slides and playhouses or gyms. We need a few donations for our Military Cub Club.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District is reviewing the current LCAP goals and actions/services to determine next steps for the 2015-16 school year and subsequent years. There will be 6 community forums for parents and teachers to attend.
