Monday, September 7 is Labor Day and there is no school.
Tuesday, September 8 our first ELAC meeting at 3:30 pm will offer parent training for Kidbiz/Teenbiz in the computer lab. All parents are welcome.
Thursday, September 10 – 18 we have parent/teacher conferences and we will be on minimum day schedule – students in kindergarten will be dismissed at 1:30 pm and students grades 1-6 will be dismissed at 1:45 pm.
Friday, September 11 is Family Movie Night and Campout. Students who make cardboard box vehicles will receive a “No Homework” pass good for one assignment. The movie is free and will begin once the sun goes down. If you are also camping, spaces are $20 during the pre-sales or $25 at the door.
We are in need size 4-6x boys and girls pants and underwear for some of our younger children who sometimes have accidents. Please drop off your donations to Miss Anna in the health office.
Join the Birthday Book Club by completing the membership form with a $10 donation. For more information contact Ms. Moffett the school librarian 482-8877 x620170.
The PTA Reflections Artist Contest is back. Categories include: Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Visual Arts, and a Special Artist Division. The theme is “Let Your Imagination Fly”. For more information email wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com. All entries are due by October 8.
Parents interested in being Reading Tutors 2 days a week from 9:00 am – 9:30 am October 12 – December 11. Please leave your name and phone number with the office staff if you are interested. Training will be provided.
We are considering creating a float for the Veteran’s Day Parade on Friday, November 6 at Veterans Elementary School. If you have a flatbed we could borrow, decorate and use for the parade please contact the school office at 619-482-8877.
Before the end of the quarter remember to check the lost and found, pay cafeteria bills (see our link on the blog to pay online), and turn in library books.
