Monday, September 5 is Labor Day and there is no school.
Thursday, September 8-15 we have parent/teacher conferences and we will be on minimum day schedule – students in kindergarten will be dismissed at 1:30 pm and students grades 1-6 will be dismissed at 1:45 pm.
The Scholastic Book Fair will also begin on Thursday. The hours of operation will be 8:00 am – 8:30 am each morning and 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm each afternoon. September 15 the Book fair will be open until 6:00 pm. We need volunteers for this event!
Friday, September 9 is the Family Movie/Campout Night. Campers may arrive as early as 5:00 pm to set up. Campsite spaces are $10 for PTA members, $20 for non-members if purchased by Thursday, September 9. The cost is $25 at the door. The movie will start at sun down and is free. All students who make cardboard cars for the movie will receive a NO HOMEWORK PASS good for one assignment. If you want to volunteer for the Campout email wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com.
Friday, September 9 and 16 the PTA will be selling popsicles after school.
Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 pm is our first quarterly Military Support Committee meeting. Join us in the auditorium for dinner and information about resources for military-connected students and families. Please RSVP using this form MSC flyer 09.15.16, or email the Associate Principal at beverly.prange@cvesd.org.
Volunteers for supporting students as reading tutors are needed for the 2nd and 3rd quarter. If you are interested please contact the school office and leave your contact information.
The loading zone is for drop off and pick up only. There is no parking in the loading zone, and no stopping for more than two minutes. If your child is not there after two minutes, you must keep moving. We appreciate your assistance in helping keep our kids safe.
The PTA Reflections Artist Contest is back. Categories include: Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Visual Arts, and a Special Artist Division. The theme is “This is My Story”. For more information email wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com. All entries are due by October 7. All students who participate will receive a “No Homework” pass good for one assignment.
