PTA is looking for volunteers to help with our Apex Fun Run on April 26th. Volunteers will be marking the shirts of our runners as they complete each lap. Our generous PTA will be providing lunch for the volunteers at our lunch break, but no one needs to feel obligated to stay the whole time. Chalkwalk Volunteers are needed. If you can help with this year’s Chalkwalk please leave your name and contact number with the school office. The Chalkwalk event takes place on May 30.
Final Call for Birthday Book Club! This is your last chance to become a Birthday Book Club member this school year. Forms and money are due no later than Monday, April 16th! There are forms available in the library and school office. The final presentation of books will be Friday, April 20th!

As the State Wide CAASPP testing approaches we wanted to let you know of an option for your child (ren). We do have headphones at school, but we have found that students are more comfortable using their own ear buds/ headphones. Please consider having your child bring their own for testing.
Also, Please note that the grade level testing schedule is linked to the blog. Please check to insure your child will be at school on time, each day for testing.
Parent classes for preparing your children for learning to read will be offered at Wolf Canyon beginning April 16 in room 508 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Only 15 spaces available. To register contact Hilda Rosalas at 619-425-9600 x1763 or pick up the flyer in the school office.
The Kiwanis Club will be hosting a Bike Rodeo at Castle Park on Saturday, April 21st from 10am-2pm. They will be providing free bicycle maintenance, free helmets and free food for all CVESD students. 2018 Bike Rode Flyer
