Timberwolves:

We had an excellent first week of school. Our focus for quarter one is to ensure the entire Wolf Canyon learning community feels welcomed, valued, and notice.

We have two opportunities this week for parents and community members:

1. If you would like to volunteer in school/classrooms, please plan on attending the Volunteer In-service taking place on Wednesday, August 1^st from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Wolf Canyon Multi-Purpose Room

1. If you would like to learn more about the programs and structures that make Wolf Canyon such an exceptional school, please join us for Parent Academy Night on Wednesday, August 1^st from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
   1. Wolf Canyon Staff will provide 20-25-minute in-service sessions on the following topics:
      1. GATE – Williamson, Ly
      2. Safe Schools – Cross,  Marmion
      3. xtra-Curricular Activities – Robbins, Simmons, Casimiro
      4. Film Festival – Riggs
      5. A3000 – Chelsea Wagner
      6. Committees – Shy
      7. More to be confirmed the night of the event
   2. We do not have child care, but your son/daughter can attend the sessions with you.
   3. Session times:
      1. 6:00 – 6:25 Session #1
      2. 6:30 – 6:55 Session #2
      3. 7:00 – 7:25 Session #3
      4. 7:30 – 7:55 Session #4

If you would like to donate small prizes (think Kids’ Meal Toys) that can be used to reward students for modeling character and citizenship, please drop them off in the main office.  With a tight budget, we would greatly appreciate your support.  Plus, kids love to come to the Principal’s office to receive a prize:-)

If you haven’t done so already, please consider joining our Wolf Canyon PTA.  Our first PTA association meeting will take place on August 7^th at 6:30 p.m. in our Multi-Purpose Room.  Come have dinner with us and learn what events we are planning for the school this year.  Child Care provided.
