As we near the end of our first year of the LEAD Program at Wolf Canyon, we want to thank you for your enthusiastic participation and support. The last day of the program is Fri., May 31st, with some clubs already concluded this week.

We are now in week 8 of 10 of quarter 4! Let’s sustain Timberwolf excellence through strong character, relevance, clarity, and effective teaching routines!

SBAC California State Testing continues one more week!

As our upper grade students continue testing this week, let’s all show our support by encouraging our children to do their best! It’s time for Timberwolves to shine in CVESD Local Measures (LM) and California SBAC testing in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. You can support your child by making sure he/she gets plenty of sleep the night prior, and a balanced breakfast in the morning. 

Testing will begin promptly at the beginning of the school day. Please note that grade 3-6 students who arrive after 9:15a on testing days will need to wait in in a separate setting until the end of the test session. Though make-up sessions will be available, we highly encourage all our students to be at school on time during testing.

Continuing Student Enrollment for the 2024/25 school year for current students at Wolf Canyon will take place online this year beginning May 28th.  All students returning to any school in the Chula Vista Elementary School District for the 2024/25 school year are required to complete updated enrollment with their school of attendance before the start of school in order for their child’s name to be placed on a class list. 

You will be receiving an email that will contain a unique “Snap Code” for each of your children enrolled at Wolf Canyon and a link to the website where you will be able to update information for your child for the 2024/25 school year.

We will begin sending the “Snap Codes” on May 28th. Please make sure to check your emails so that you may complete this promptly. If you have not received your email by June 7th, please contact the school office.

Residency Verification will not be required for families completing the Continuing Student Enrollment, unless you have moved.

Friendly reminder! Spring portrait orders or returns are due on 5/16.

If you have not already, please return your order and/or any unpurchased photos to the school office or your child’s teacher as soon as possible. A portion of all orders placed will be donated back to our school!

As we approach the end of Quarter 4, we want to remind you that the last day of activities for this quarter will be starting next week! It has been a successful and rewarding first year at LEAD, and we are grateful for your children in participating in our clubs and activities. We are also grateful for all of our wonderful staff who made this happen!

We are thrilled to announce that our talented students at Wolf Canyon, in our LEAD Theater Club, are bringing the magical world of Alice in Wonderland to life on stage! Our students have poured their hearts into this production, and we cannot wait for you to experience their hard work and dedication!

Join us this Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th for a journey down the rabbit hole as we present Alice in Wonderland! Doors will open at 5:30PM, so be sure to arrive early to secure your seat!

Feel free to look at it by clicking on the following link (if you are interested in surprising staff throughout the week).  In addition to our awesome teachers, we have a lot of amazing support staff, Instructional aides, cafeteria workers, janitors and so many more people who help support your kids and the school.  If you would like to drop off a surprise to someone other than your child’s teacher to show your appreciation, please put the staff member’s name and leave it in the front office.
