Just a reminder that we will be having Pajama Day tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31st.  Roll out of bed and head to school…  Maybe brush your teeth first:-)

• We are updating our Wall of Heroes in the auditorium!  Please bring in pictures of family members who are or were in the military.  We would love to honor them.  Don’t forget to write you name and room number on the back of each picture so that we can return it to you.  Pictures need to be turned in to your teacher by Friday, November 2^nd.

– Military Ambassador Club (MAC)

• PTA will be extending the pre-sales for Boograms.  We will be selling Boograms before and after school.  Get yours before they are sold out.
• Get you Masquerade pre-sale tickets before and after school on Monday and Tuesday as well as after school on Wednesday and Thursday.  Tickets are $5 for PTA members and $15 for non-members.  Prices will increase at the door.

PTA is still looking for volunteers for the Masquerade Carnival.  Please e-mail wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com if you can help out.

WELCOME BACK!

We all want to welcome back our students and families to the 2018 Fall Quarter.  The Fall Quarter is always very busy with many activities, so we encourage all our families and students to check our blog frequently.

School begins on Tuesday, October 9.  Please remember that it will be a full day of learning for all students. 1st – 6th grade students begin promptly at 8:45  am and will be dismissed at 3:15 pm.  All kindergarten students will attend from 8:45 am to 3:00 pm.  We look forward to seeing all our Timberwolves on Tuesday!

Timberwolves:

Our first Sprit Day of the school year will be this Friday, September 14th.  To help support our school Book Fair, we are having an Enchanted Forest Spirit Day.  Examples include unicorn, princess, prince, garden gnome, etc.

We are going into our Quarter 1 Parent/Teacher Conferences. Minimum Days start this Thursday, Sept. 13 and continue until Sept. 21st.

This year our parent-teacher conferences are different.  Instead of a report card, you will receive a conference form. This form is meant to facilitate and encourage two-way communication between teachers and parents.  This is a perfect opportunity for your child’s teacher to learn from you about how your child works at home and specific strategies that motivate your child to do their best.

You will notice a change in how your child’s progress is being reported to you.  It will highlight the preliminary assessment information that has been collected so far this school year.  This will help create goals and next steps for your child this school year.  Come equipped with information on your child’s strengths and areas where you would like to see your child grow.
