Please note Thursday, February 13 is a Minimum Day and there will be no homework club. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 1:30pm and all other students will be dismissed at 1:45pm. There is no school on Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17 in honor of President’s Day.

On Thursday, February 13 during dismissal the Family Resource Center will be out in front of our school to provide information about the many resources that are available to support families, services such as counseling, financial support and community programs.

We are conducting our annual Hanover Parent Survey, to let us know how we are doing, now through February 28. I strongly encourage all our parents to participate. Click the link located on the right menu bar of this blog. You may also request a paper copy from the school office. Please take the time to complete this very important survey. It will help us better serve you and your children.

The Wolf Canyon K-Kids is once again collecting pennies, spare change or donations of any amount to support our Pennies for Pasta campaign to fight against blood cancer. Donations are being accepted now through February February 21 and will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The class that brings in the most donations will be given a pasta party compliments of the Olive Garden. Brother, can you spare a dime!

The deadline for submitting your name for the ballot for next year’s (2014-2015) PTA board is Tuesday, February 11. The following positions are available: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, and Historian. Nomination forms are available in the school office. Now’s the time to nominate and recognize individuals in the Wolf Canyon community for the Honorary Service Award. To nominate someone please complete the nomination form no later than February 25. Forms were sent home with students and are also available in the school office.

Boxtops are a great way for our school to earn supplies and materials. Please look for groceries that have the labels for Boxtops for Education, cut it out and send all boxtops no later than February 17.

Mark your calendars for 2 very special events:
March 10 from 9:00 am – 10:00 an at the next Principal Coffee Chat, Mr. Larry Alvarado will give presentation on behavior management tips for parents to use at home.
April 10 at 6:30 pm to learn about the changes in State Testing and our plans to begin a Dual Immersion program at Wolf Canyon for the 2014-2015 school year.
