Tuesday, February 18 at 7:00 pm is the PTA general meeting. Please come out and support our PTA.

This Friday, February 21 is our Dancing with Wolves school dance from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm in the school auditorium.
Admission is $1 and tickets will be on sale after school Tuesday the 18th thru Thursday the 20th in front of the school and available at the door. There will be contests and prizes. Grade levels will be selling snacks and novelity items. PTA is asking for donations of gallon bottles of water to help keep the students at the dance hydrated! Donations can be dropped off in the office. Thank you for all of your donations!

We are conducting our annual Hanover Parent Survey, to let us know how we are doing, now through February 28. I strongly encourage all our parents to participate. Click the link located on the right menu bar of this blog. You may also request a paper copy from the school office.

Registration packets for the 2014-2015 school year are now available in the school office between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Registration for the new school year will begin at 7:00 am on Wednesday, March 5th for Kindergartners who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2014. We will also be accepting new registrations for Transitional Kindergartners and new students in Grades 1-6. If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact the school office at 619-482-8877.

The Wolf Canyon K-Kids is collecting pennies, spare change or donations of any amount to support our Pennies for Pasta campaign to fight against blood cancer through February 21. The class that brings in the most donations will be given a pasta party compliments of the Olive Garden. All donations will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Don’t forget to nominate individuals in the Wolf Canyon community for the Honorary Service Award. To nominate someone please complete the nomination form no later than February 25.

Come out and observe our classrooms and see Common Core Standards in Action February 21 9:00 am – 11:00 am and February 27 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm Parents/visitors must attend a brief in-service beforehand in the school library.

March 10 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am Mr. Larry Alvarado will present great behavior management tips for parents to use at home with their children.

April 10 at 6:30 pm is a parent information night to learn about the changes in the State Testing and the Dual Immersion program.
