March 10 at 3:30 pm there will be a very important School Site Council meeting and everyone is welcome to attend. We will review the new requirements from the state regarding school funding and our plan for achievement in light of the Common Core State Standards. This is a meeting you don’t want to miss.
March 11 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am Mr. Larry Alvarado will present great behavior management tips for parents to use at home with their children. For every parent that attends they will receive a “no homework” coupon for their child.
March 11 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the school auditorium, grades 4-6 will be sharing what they learn in music in a Musical Showcase. The schedule is as follows:
6:00 pm – 6:30 pm 6th grade will be showcased
6:30 pm – 7:00 pm 4th grade will be showcased
7:00 pm – 7:30 pm 5th grade will be showcased
Join the Wolf Canyon Birthday Book Club and commemorate your child’s birthday by donating $10.00 or more for the purchase of a hardback book for the Wolf Canyon library. For more information contact the school office. All students who have birthdays in December – March and have joined the club will be recognized and presented with their books at the morning assembly outside on the blacktop on Thursday, March 20 at 8:45am. Pictures will also be taken for the school yearbook.
March 13 – 20 The BOOKFAIR is back and the hours of operation for March 13 and 14 8:00 am are to 3:00 pm (closed 11:30 am – 12:30 pm) and March 17 – 20 8:00 am – 10:00 pm and 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

New Mathematics materials may be adopted for the 2014-2015 school year and are available for parents and teachers to review now through April 11 in room 408.
March 13 – 20 are Minimum Days and Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held. Remember to make arrangements now for those who will be picking up your children on these early dismissal days.
March 24 – April 4 is Spring Break! The school will be closed. Over the break please consider collecting any travel size toiletry items for our service learning project to help homeless teens. We need travel size shampoos and conditioners, soaps, shaving cream, deodorants, toothpaste and mouthwash. You may drop these items off after spring break.
April 7 is the first day back from spring break and it is a MINIMUM DAY. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:30 pm and all other students are dismissed at 1:45 pm.

April 10 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm learn about our plans to begin a Dual Immersion program for the 2014 – 2015 school year.
April 12, 8:00 sell your unwanted treasures at The Wolf Canyon Garage Sale. Reserve your spot for $25, cash only. Reserve your spot by March 21st and save $5. Vendors may reserve spots for $45.
