Thursday, June 1 School Picnic – Parents are invited to come eat lunch with their child during his/her regularly scheduled lunch time. Younger siblings are welcome but must be supervised as this is during student recess. Our cafeteria will be serving hamburgers and hot Dogs Picnic-BBQ Flyer .
Thursday, June 1 Yearbooks will be delivered and students may get them signed throughout the day. Students MAY NOT sign on each others bodies or clothing. We have a few extra Yearbooks in the office available for $50 cash only – first come, first serve.
Friday, June 2 6th Grade Promotion/LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. 6th Grade students may go home after the promotion ceremonies. Balloons will not be allowed in the auditorium.

As you are aware, our school community recently took part in an online learning process called Thoughtexchange to help inform our priorities. We’ve reviewed your thoughts and now want to share the results with you.
Do you have a child in Grades 3-6 who might benefit from a math summer review? This program is run by a retired teacher and is tailored to your child’s grade level needs.
Another way to fight the summer slide is to have your child use Dreambox Math during the summer break. Have them access their account to keep their edge over the break.

Students will be able to access Achieve 3000 over the summer! Students can continue to read articles and complete activities so that they’ll start the new school year with an edge! During the summer, complete 40 activities with a first try score of 75% or more on each, and you’ll automatically be entered into a raffle to win an iPad mini! It just takes “One” music download to help the District’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) department. For each .99 download of the Mike Cothrine song, “One,” our VAPA department will receive 50 percent of the proceeds. A 30-day campaign started on Friday, May 19 to encourage CVESD families to download the song from iTunes. The proceeds will help fund the purchase of art supplies, costumes for theater productions, materials for props and sets, and music supplies. “One” Music link
Wolf Canyon will have its 10 year anniversary next school year. If you are interested in being a part of the planning committee to organize something special for next year, there will be a brainstorming meeting June 5 at 1:00 pm in the school office.
