Tuesday, May 1 –State Wide CAASPP testing begins Tuesday, May 1 – Wednesday May 9 for 4th and 6th graders.  Also, 5th grade will be taking the CAASPP science test on Thursday May 3, and Friday May 4.  Your child will not have homework during the duration of the CAASPP test. Please make sure your child:

*Is at school everyday, on time
*Gets plenty of Rest
*Eats a healthy breakfast

We do have headphones at school, but we have found that students are more comfortable using their own ear buds/ headphones.  Please consider having your child bring their own for testing.
Also, Please note that the grade level testing schedule is linked to the blog.  Please check to insure your child will be at school on time, each day for testing.

Thursday, May 3– Kinder Musical  6:30 pm in auditorium

Thank you to Apex and all the volunteers and parents who supported this fundraiser.  We will announce soon, the amount of money that was raised for our school.

Chalkwalk Volunteers are needed.  If you can help with this year’s Chalkwalk please leave your name and contact number with the school office. The Chalkwalk event takes place on May 30.

The California School Dashboard is now available for parents.  This is an online tool that shows how schools and districts are performing on local and state indicators.  Please be sure to check the link on our blog.

Please save the date!  Thursday, May 31 will be the Wolf Canyon Barbeque.
Parents are welcome to come eat lunch with their child(ren).  Siblings are welcome but must be supervised as this is during our recess.  We will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs.  Hope to see you there!

Parent classes for preparing your children for learning to read have begun at Wolf Canyon.  They meet in room 508 9:00 am to 10:30 am. To register contact Hilda Rosalas at 619-425-9600 x1763 or pick up the flyer in the school office.
