Visitor & Safety Update- January 2025

Hello Wolf Canyon Families,

As we prepare for winter break, we wanted to share some important visitor and safety measures that will go into effect in January 2025 when students return from winter break.  These changes are happening at Wolf Canyon and across CVESD to keep our school campuses more secure.  These changes will be in effect on school days from “bell-to-bell”, meaning 8:45am-3:15pm. Our goal is to sustain a welcoming environment, while ensuring the safety of all our students and staff during school hours.

Key Updates:

  • After the morning bell rings at 8:45am, families will need to make their way towards the exit. All individuals on campus after 8:45am must be authorized and checked in with the office with valid state-issued ID. For Friday Blacktop assemblies, families will exit campus after the assembly.
  • Parents and caregivers will not be allowed onto campus to pick up students for early dismissals. Please plan accordingly, to allow adequate time to pick your student up. In addition to this, the gates will no longer be opened prior to 3:15pm for those picking up at dismissal.
  • Authorized visitors will be required to sign in through the Raptor system in the main office with a valid state-issued ID. Visitors must wear a sticker or badge showing they have registered in front office. Unauthorized visitors will be directed towards the main office by staff.

We appreciate your understanding as Wolf Canyon and our school district work towards keeping our school safe.

Thank you,

Wolf Canyon Administration

Hi Timberwolves!

We are excited to announce that registration for Quarter 3 is now open! Dates:  January 21st to March 12th.

Link: https://leadwolfcanyonelementary.jumbula.com/

Head over to Jumbula to explore all the clubs available this quarter. If your student is currently enrolled in a club, there’s no need to re-register; they will automatically roll over into Quarter 3!

This quarter, we are introducing some fantastic new clubs:

  • Boys Basketball for 4th-6th graders: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Mini Makers for TK/K: Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
  • Filipino Language Culture Session 2: Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Don’t miss out—any of the clubs on Jumbula are still accepting registrations! We can’t wait to see our Timberwolves engaging, learning, and having fun in these exciting activities!

Important Reminders:

  • When you register your child, they are automatically placed on the waitlist—this is the default setting.
  • By December 18th, students will be enrolled. If you have not received an email stating, “Congratulations, your child has been enrolled in this club,” it means your child is still on the waitlist. However, I can offer other clubs with available spots that you can sign up for.
