We have a few helpful tips and one slight change for the drop-off procedure in the morning.  Friendly reminder that the gates open for all students at 8:20.  We mention this because traffic between 8:20 and 8:30 is incredibly light.  If you hope to avoid the morning congestion and can get the kids ready and out of the house early, we encourage you to drop them off between those times.  Below is a picture of the drop-off area.  The red portion of the drop-off loop is not a designated area to drop off.  The green area is the designated drop-off area. 

Update: 

• As you enter the loop, please begin to have your kids prepare to exit the vehicle as this will help the drop-off run efficiently. 
• Also, instead of waiting until you get as close to the flag pole as possible to drop off while in line, we ask you to please pull forward until you see the traffic stop. 
• If you are in the green zone, and all cars in front of you are stopped, it is a perfect time to have the kids exit. 
• This will allow up to nine cars to drop off simultaneously drop off.

Our school is about to embark on a POWERful journey with our annual Apex Fun Run fundraiser beginning Monday, 8/28 for our teachers and schoolwide events this year! This is our single major fundraiser of the year, so we’re excited for everyone to participate.

We need YOUR help on Thursday, 9/7 to make it a fun and successful day! Our TK-6th graders will be running in waves throughout the morning and we need volunteers during each shift. This is a reminder of our delivery policy at Wolf Canyon. Office personnel is not responsible for delivering lunches, homework, or other items to students during the school day. If you need to deliver something to your child during the school day, you or your designee will need to sign in as a visitor in the school office and take these items to your child during his/her recess or lunchtime only. Also, please make sure to coordinate how your child gets home after school prior to arriving to school. For everyone’s safety, the office will not be responsible for sending messages to students about after school pick up arrangements.

Our first Birthday Book Club Celebration will be Friday, 8/25 during our blacktop assembly. If you received a July/August Birthday invitation or want to be included this month, please turn in your form & money to Mrs. Moffett in the Library by Tuesday, 8/22!  Any late submissions will be added to the next celebration in September.  Extra forms are in the Library and Office. Hello, Wolf Canyon families of 4th-6^th graders. Is your child interested in campaigning for the student council cabinet?

If so, please have them complete the application they received and then turn it in to Mrs. Kolodziej by Thursday, August 24th.

Student Council campaigning will take place from October 9th-13th.
