The Apex Team has been on on campus teaching the students leadership lessons.  Ask your child what they have been learning about.  The Apex Jog-a-thon is Thursday.  Students are getting pledges to raise money for the school.  To donate, please check your students lanyard they brought home.  All instructions are inside.  To donate, go to http://www.apexfunrun.com.  Use the special access code printed on their lanyards.

Congratulations to Kara Santos and Aubree Antoine won a drawing contest sponsored by the City of Chula Vista.  Their art work will  be recognized at the May 1^st City Council Meeting. They won Sky Zone and Living Coast Discovery Center tickets.

PTA is looking for volunteers to help with our Apex Fun Run on April 26th. Volunteers will be marking the shirts of our runners as they complete each lap. Our generous PTA will be providing lunch for the volunteers at our lunch break, but no one needs to feel obligated to stay the whole time. The Kiwanis Club will be hosting a Bike Rodeo at Castle Park on Saturday, April 21st from 10am-2pm. They will be providing free bicycle maintenance, free helmets and free food for all CVESD students. 2018 Bike Rode Flyer

Thursday, February 22 at 8:00 am the Occupational Therapist will provide a training for VOLUNTEERS who would like to support students with handwriting.  The commitment involves 2 days a week (you choose) between 9:00 am and 9:30 am to work with students for about 10 minutes.

Monday, February 12 The Wolf Canyon K-Kids Pennies for Pasta Campaign begins. K-Kids will begin collecting “spare change” now through February 23 to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Collection boxes have been given to the students and the class that collects the most “spare change” will earn a Pasta Party.  More importantly however, the students are supporting those who suffer from these deadly diseases.

Monday, February 12 is the LAST DAY to order Valentine Grams.

Tuesday, February 13 at 6:00 pm  PTA will have its General Meeting.

Thursday, February 15 MINIMUM DAY!!!  Also, The Wolf Canyon “Dancing with Wolves” School Dance will be held in the school auditorium from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Tickets are $1.00 and are being sold before and after school.

Wolf Canyon Film Festival is now seeking student filmmakers and their films for the Annual Film Festival.  To submit an entry or to find out about the entry categories go to: wcfilmfest.wordpress.com.  All entries must be submitted by March 16 in ordered to be considered for Film Awards!  The Film Festival is April 26 at 6:30 pm.

If your student/s is currently attending Wolf Canyon on a zone transfer, you will need to visit the school office between February 7 – 14 to complete a new zone transfer for the 2018/2019 school year.
