Students return Tuesday, January 12 and this is a Minimum Day.  Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:30 pm and all other students are dismissed at 1:45 pm.

Parents, please join us for lunch at our monthly Military Support Committee meeting Friday, January 15 at 12:00 in the YMCA Room.

Parent volunteers are needed to tutor students in reading 2 days a week from 9:00 am – 9:30 am during the weeks of January 18 – March 4.  Training and materials are provided. Please contact the school office at 619-482-8877 if you are interested.

Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00 pm is the PTA annual holiday meeting.  There will be an overview of the year, upcoming events, and awesome prize giveaways.  Also, thank you to everyone for supporting the Mixed Bag Fundraiser.  All orders are in and will be delivered this week – just in time for the holidays.

Wednesday, December 16 the Wolf Canyon Football Team will at Veterans Elementary at 3:30 pm for the Semi-finals.  Come cheer on our team!

Thursday, December 17 at 6:30 pm Wolf Canyon Timberwolf Winter Concert.  The GLEE Choir, Guitar Club, Strings, and Recorders will perform.

Friday, December 18 Decade Day.  Dress to represent your favorite decade.

Wolf Canyon is seeking substitute Noon Duty Supervisors. The next Noon Duty test will be give on Jan. 8, 2016, 9:45 am in Room C at the district office, 84 East J Street, Chula Vista, 92111.

The Wolf Canyon community took time on Friday, December 4 to think about how we can bring PEACE to our community during our Peace Assembly.

K-Kids is collecting new Pajamas for Children’s Hospital this week only.

Please complete and return the Federal Survey forms.  This is one way our school receives federal funds. Please complete and turn in the forms no later than Friday, November 20.  The first 2 classes that turn in all their completed federal survey forms will receive “no homework” pass good on one assignment.

In honor of those who served our country and are currently serving in our military, United States Karate Academy, will provide a FREE private lesson and FREE martial arts classes from now till the end of November to include their immediate family members.

School Policy Update
Starting immediately Wolf Canyon office personnel will no longer be responsible for delivering lunches, homework, or other items to students during the school day. If you need to deliver something to your child during the school day, you or your designee will need to sign in as a visitor in the school office and take these items to your child during his/her recess or lunchtime only.  Also, please make sure to coordinate how your child gets home after school prior to arriving to school.  For everyone’s safety, the office will not be responsible for sending messages to students about after school pick up arrangements. If you have any questions please contact Ms. McLaren the school principal.
